GI BluesG.I. BLUES is a small charity, initially set up as a
voluntary group in November 2005 to help people
affected by "pseudo", that is "chronic gastro-
intestinal pseudo-obstruction", sometimes also
abbreviated to "GIPO" or "CIPO"
We became a registered charity in February 2006.
Our aims are to help by providing support and non-medical
advice, by giving information, advice and guidance to
people affected by pseudo & pseudo-type conditions, by
increasing public and professional awareness, by providing
a forum and by providing a framework for social support.
Whilst we do not exclude sponsoring research into pseudo from
our remit, this is not a main aim, however we are particularly
interested in developments in the field of neurogastroenterolgy
and improved understanding of hypermobility syndrome.
We have a longstanding link with the paediatric gastro-
enterology unit at The Royal London Hospital,
Whitechapel, and with Stevenson House - home-from-
home accommodation provided by The Sick Children's
Trust for parents who have to travel to be with their child
while being treated at the Royal London.
